Being a 21st century teacher Lecture and workshop

We review the last 100 years about improvements in technology, changes in classrooms, etc.

The challenges teachers face nowadays are, mainly, using new technologies, keeping students motivated and to adapt to the different student levels in class. We have kids who come to school and never learn how to focus.

We need to develop in students the 4C’s soft-skills (Communication, critical thinking and problem solving, collaboration, creativity and innovation). They can be developed, but not measurable.

Relax and get creative: Mindfulness makes happy students (Dario Čaljkušić)

The teacher shows us different activities that we can do with our students to keep them awake and focus on lessons.

Mindfulness is a scientific technique to calm down teachers and students stress. It reduces early school leaving.
